About the project

We're planning a 70 megawatt wind farm coming to Musselshell County. The project will generate good paying local jobs, lease payments for landowners, tax revenue for local governments, and clean energy for the region.

What’s happening?

We are currently working in the area to lease additional land for the project, conduct environmental studies, and collect wind data for analysis.

How will this project benefit the community?

Ponderosa Wind will generate up to 100 construction jobs, lease payments for landowners and signfificant tax revenue to the county and school district. The project will generate enough clean energy to power 22,000 Montana homes and reduce air pollution equal to taking 37,454 cars off the road every year.

As a good neighbor, we are committed to actively listening, quickly responding, and working together. We are humbled and honored to work closely with community leaders and residents to develop an economic engine and clean energy investment that can serve the region for decades to come.

How long will construction last?

We expect the project construction to last nine months. All county standards for construction of the facility will be adhered to during this phase.
